Marcelo Floriao

Marcelo Floriao is a writer-producer-director based in Los Angeles, who started his career working at Hollywood studios for producers/directors such as Lindsay Doran (Sense and Ssnsibility - by Ang Lee), Ricardo Mestres and Costa Gavras. Also worked for large format producer Showscan Entertainment and is an executive producer of the U.N. affiliated Artivist Film Festival (produced in Los Angeles, New York, London, Tokyo, Mexico and Lisbon). He additionally wrote, directed and produced plays in the L.A., such as Autobiography of a Star. His feature film as writer-producer is Now Boarding (Embarque Imediato), a project initiated along with actress Marilia Pera (from Central Station) and a Best Actress winner for Pixote (National Society of Film Critics). Now Boarding was selected for international film festivals in Cairo, Strasbourg, Monaco, Australia, New Zealand, Montreal, and in the U.S. Los Angeles and Miami.
