DeVon Franklin is an award-winning Film & TV producer, best-selling author, in-demand preacher and spiritual success coach. A recognized authority on spirituality, faith and the entertainment business, Franklin is committed to using the power of media as an inspirational tool. Author of three best-selling books, including the most recent,The Hollywood Commandments, and New York Times #2 best-seller The Wait, which he co-wrote with his wife actress Meagan Good as well as Produced By Faith. DeVon uses his platform to empower the masses through his speaking, preaching, producing movies & TV shows, books, postings on social media to his over 1 million followers and regular television appearances. Franklin is the President & CEO of Franklin Entertainment, a dynamic multi-media entertainment company that produces inspirational and commercial content. Franklin Entertainment has a multi-year first-look film deal with 20th Century Fox. Franklin most recently exec-produced the animated film The Star, with stars like Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry and Michelle Rodriguez lending their voices. It is the first faith-based animated film to be released by a major Hollywood studio since The Prince of Egypt. He also produced the highly successful film Miracles From Heaven starring Jennifer Garner and Queen Latifah, made for a modest $15 million, it grossed $73 million at the world-wide box office to date, making it one of the top-grossing faith-based films of all-time. In addition, Franklin has several projects in various stages of development including, film adaptations of the inspirational true story The Impossible and the powerful re-incarnation story The Boy Who Knew Much for 20th Century Fox; the high-profile reboot of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe franchise at Columbia Pictures; and a remake of the classic 1970s film Cooley High with Common at MGM and Music To My Ears, a live-action/animated hybrid musical for Fox Family . On the TV side, Franklin is also producing Spirit of The Law as well as a re-imagining of the iconic film Foxy Brown at Hulu, with Meagan Good attached to star. Franklin began preaching at the age of 15 and begin interning for Will Smith at the age of 18. This unique combination of ministry and entertainment expertise has helped him develop a unique perspective on faith, love and success which has lead to him becoming an in-demand public speaker and television personality. He is a regular on The Dr. Oz Show and is his go-to guy on spirituality and life transformation. He's also has made appearances on The Dr. Phil Show, CBS This Morning, Entertainment Tonight, The Meredith Vieira Show, The Real, CNN, FOX News, Iyanla's Fix My Life and Oprah's Super Soul Sunday. Franklin was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in 2016 as a member of their executive branch, and currently chairs the branch's subcommittee on Diversity. As the former Senior Vice President of Columbia Pictures, he was one of the highest ranking African-American studio executives in the industry. During his tenure at Columbia Pictures, he oversaw some of the studio' biggest box-office hits, such as The Pursuit of Happyness, The Karate Kid, Jumping the Broom, and Heaven Is For Real. . Franklin earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship along with a minor in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Meagan Good.
