Marc Furstenberg was born on April 13, 1947 in The Bronx, New York City. A veteran of the George H. Gallup School of Journalism and the famous Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa, Mr. Furstenberg embarked on a life of adventure starting with a visit to the Holy Land from which he hitchhiked to Istanbul, India and Kathmandu and back. The office manager for the Yippies and an anti-war protester, Mr. Furstenberg wrote for The Seed, the acclaimed underground paper in Chicago. After becoming a motorcycle dispatch rider for CBS News, he became a freelance journalist in London. His unique personality lead to a brief career as a film actor in films such as "The Medusa Touch" which led to work with Sony Europe as a video cameraman in Paris and a hair model for Vidal Sassoon. From France, he headed north to West Germany where he became a bicycle mechanic for the United States Army PX. While based in Munich, he wrote jungle movies and romantic comedies for the Teutonic Roger Corman, Ernst von Theumer, where he was the uncredited scriptwriter of genre films like "Savage Amazons", released in the international markets as "Jungle Warriors"; and, the notorious producer Arthur Brauner who he wrote screenplays for, like "The Pinups". Returning to the United States, Mr. Furstenberg was the visual art critic for the New York publication Downtown and for the Woodstock Times. He wrote travel guides for the French publishing house Le Petit Fute, responsible for guides on Mexico, London, Florida and New York. In recent years, Mr. Furstenberg has worked as a script doctor on a number of features. Currently, he writes freelance articles for various print and online publications.
