Sascha Ciezata was gifted in many arts (magic, painting, writing)as a child but focused exclusively on art and animation in his formative years. He entered USC Film School as an undergraduate in 1998 in hopes of pursuing a career in live action. After 2 years he dropped out and entered the industry as a producer's assistant, eventually shifting to production and post-production. In 2007 he produced his first feature film MORNING, which premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival in 2010. That same year Sascha re-discovered his animation roots when he shot the enormously popular short film "When Lynch Met Lucas" using his iPhone. Excited by the possibilities these new technologies afford Sascha is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of new technology in DIY film making. His stylish brand of animation has played SXSW and numerous film festivals abroad. He has also animated the tales of such luminaries as Werner Herzog, Larry David and Bret Easton Ellis, among others. He is currently at work on his first hand-drawn animated feature.
