Iain Laird

Writer-Director Iain Laird (Born Iain Andrew William Laird) was born in London, Ontario, Canada and grew fascinated with filmmaking at the early age of ten. He would use his father's 8mm Sony video camera and gather all of his friends together to make movies whenever it was possible to do so. He grew up in the small prairie town of Okotoks in Southern Alberta, Canada. After graduating film school Laird found himself working in Toronto, Canada in a variety of different positions ranging from Production Assistant and Camera Assistant to Director and Cinematographer. His credits include Pound of Pure (2008), Lost and Searching (2012) and The Drop: The EDM Culture Explosion (2014).
