Born and raised in Michigan, Joe Lessard is an Executive Producer and the Sr. Vice President of Development and Production for Prometheus Entertainment, which is one of the premiere creative titans in cable documentary and reality television. After graduating from Michigan State University in 1999 with a degree in General Business Administration, Pre-Law, Lessard made the gamble of pursuing his more elective studies in creative writing, acting and film by relocating to Los Angeles. After several years of freelance experience, in 2005, he joined Prometheus and began working closely with its president and founder, Kevin Burns, first as his executive assistant and later as one of his key creative partners. Lessard was a producer on such Prometheus hits as Kendra (2009), Holly's World (2011), Hef's Runaway Bride (2011), Kendra On Top (2012) and In Search of Aliens (2014), and is an Executive Producer on The Curse of Oak Island (2014), Drilling Down (2016) and The Curse of Civil War Gold (2018). Working with Burns, Lessard wrote The Telling (2009), an independent horror feature that was produced within the storyline of the fifth season of The Girls Next Door (2005).
