Luigi Leone Martocci, aka Gin Mart, begun his career as a fashion model, in the very early 60s, working for Litrico, Brioni, Valentino and many more. Not long later he became the most sought after actor for the so-called Fotoromanzi, roman-photo in french, very popular magazines, usually printed in Italy and France. As a result, after a small role in "The naked Maja", directed by Henry Koster in 1958, and in which he was uncredited, was called to join up "Cleopatra", still uncredited, also because of the many changes of the screenplay. In the first pace he had the role of Marcellus, a Roman general who had a short conversation with Cleopatra. Then, when director Joseph L. Mankiewicz took the place of Rouben Mamoulian, making major twists, he let him to appear in a few scenes playing a simple centurion with no more dialogues. In 1964, as Gin Mart, he played "Il mostro di Venezia". From that year on he had many offers for those extremely popular "spaghetti western", but he always refused to take part in these movies. He was too busy as fashion model and photo-roman actor. Especially as a model, he had to constantly travel the world. After divorce he retired in Paris first and later on in Britanny where he died in 1988 by heart attack.
