Ben Harris was born in Mile End in the East End of London. He was trained at Ravenscourt Theatre School (previously and since returned to the original name Corona) in Hammersmith where he started his joint career in both acting and the music industry, producing music and DJing. After appearing in a host of Television and Magazine commercials he progressed into acting gaining roles in BBC's Grange Hill which he appeared in for half a series in the late 90s and various roles in The Bill and other ITV series and one off programs. His Walt Disney debut was in Stick with me Kid in which he played Vernon. He was casted for the British film Clockwork Mice but could not fullfill the role due to other work. Ironically after some dates changed, he does appear in a couple of scenes of the film in an uncredited role. During this time his passion for music was also brought to fruition as he started producing music (under the name Benny V) Tracks by him and his label have been played on all the National Radio stations in England and throughout Europe. Ben Harris / Benny V has been presenting and playing on radio for many years after being professionally trained while at one of the top London Stage Schools. Benny V has gone on to play in the main room for various Top Night clubs and Promotional events including One Nation, Dreamscape and The Venue. His first residency was in fact at the world famous Labyrinth where he worked regularly from playing alongside all the Labyrinth residents such as Nicky Blackmarket, Stevie Hyper D, Kenny Ken, Ratpack and all the other Drum&Bass artists that performed there over the years. Benny V has since gone on to run his own successful Drum & Bass night and Record Label in London, whilst also getting to play abroad in Ibiza, Zante, and Germany. His night Dance Concept has been held at such venues as Club Colosseum and La Scala amongst others. One of his recent projects has been working on the much anticipated Stevie Hyper D album with all profits going to Stevies family which was released on his record label Dance Concept Recordings. A scene from the British movie Life n Lyrics was filmed at a club he holds a residency at and meant he was reunited with Ashley Walters (Asha D) who also appeared in Grange Hill during the same period. His 'dual pronged' career is still evolving and progressing now.
