Actress and producer, Malena was awarded the Jorge Jellinek award for "Best Actress" for her performance in "Conejo" a Carla Forte film, in August, 2020. She has been in the entertainment industry since high school where she was awarded first place in Venezuela's "José Angel Porte Acero's" national theater competition. Since then, she has participated in all areas of the industry including more than 70 plays, feature films, television series and soap operas in countries such as, Spain, Venezuela, Peru, Cuba and the United States - with Mediaset's "Yo Quisiera" being the most recent. Malena can be seen as a cast member in award winning films such as, "La Distancia Más Larga" by Claudia Pinto-Emperador, awarded "Best Opera Prima" at the 2015 Platinum Awards, the 2014 winner of Glauber Rochas Award and nominated for the 2015 Goya Awards for Best Latinamerican Film; She participated in "Los 8-6" by Javier Mujica; and "Histeria" by Carla Forte, which is in post-production. Malena has been nominated as best actress for the Platino Awards 2019 by the Venezuelan Film Academie ACACV, for her performance as Desideria Meléndez in "Death in Berruecos" by Caupolicán Ovalles. As a producer, Malena is known for being a versatile content developer and funding strategist for international feature films and television series. She Associate Produced "The Night of the Two Moons" by Goya Award winner Miguel Ferrari, which premiered in Montreal at Festival Du Films Du Monde 2019. Malena Gonzalez has a Bacherlor in Fine Arts in "Acting" and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Boston University.
