Ayelet (also known as Aya) is Israeli-born and is a resident of New York and Los Angeles. Born in Haifa, Ayelet studied singing, piano, flute, jazz dancing and even karate. She began singing competitively from eight years of age, winning nearly every contest she entered. Ayelet has performed live in almost every venue in her home town of Haifa. During her compulsory military service, Ayelet was a featured performer in the Hil Kesher Military Band, after completing her initial assignments with the Israeli army. In 2001 Ayelet performed with Spinal Tap, in New York's famous Carnegie Hall, at an event hosted by Elvis Costello and Paul Schaeffer. In 2004 Ayelet further pursued her first love of singing performing in Tokyo with several European bands. Ayelet moved to the U.S. in the fall of 1999 and began studying at the Lee Strasburg Institute, for both singing and acting. After September 11th, Ayelet personally interviewed former President Bill Clinton for CNN and New York 1. Ayelet, in the leading role, carried the east coast campaign for Azores Eyewear, in commercials that appeared for over two years. In 2005 Ayelet was a guest star on "Law & Order Criminal Intent," playing opposite Peter Bogdonovich. She also had a notable performance in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Ayelet also appeared regularly on the NBC reality show "The Restaurant." Ayelet is involved with numerous charities including the Israeli Defense Force Fund, the Cancer Research Foundation, and the Ramban Hospital in Haifa Israel.
