Myrna Velasco was born in Manila to affluent parents, Clarita and Jose Velasco. She attended exclusive schools - La Concordia College in kindergarten, Colegio de Sta. Rosa in elementary, St. Paul's College in High School, the University of the East, Cancio Calma/Philippine School of Interior Design and the University of Hawaii. In 1970, she competed and won the title of Miss Teen Princess Philippines and went on to compete in the International Teen Princess Beauty Pageant held in Berlin, Germany. She won 3rd Runner Up in Berlin, Germany plus the title of World's Most Charming Teen Princess. She modelled all over Asia and became a famous movie actress in the 80s including a 2-year telenovela hit entitled, "Flor de Luna." She owned a business in clothing and perfume and resided in Fremont, California in the 90s and returned to the Philippines to retire. She has two daughters, Clarita and Precious.
