Thorsten Schade is a German actor, screenwriter and filmmaker, born on October 19, 1966 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. After finishing school, he studied acting at the Folkwang University in Essen-Werden, Germany, from 1985 to 1989. After graduating, he was engaged at various theaters in Germany, such as 1988 Theater and Philharmonie, Essen, Germany, 1989-1991 Württembergische Landesbühne, Germany, various shows from 2007 to today, Tatort Dinner, Germany and most recently in 2016 at the Freudenhaus Theater, Essen, Germany, in the play "Fußball, Frauen, Ferde" He also worked for German television, such as "Der Schattenmann" 1994, "Wem gehört Tobias?" 1995 and "Aktenzeichen XY" 2005. In 2001 Schade completed further training as a screenwriter. In 2008 he gave a script and film course at a youth center. During this time, the first three short films were made under his direction. Then, in 2010, Schade wrote, directed and produced the short film "Showtime", genre thriller, which was a small success. His next short film, "The Invitation (Die Einladung)", genre horror, which he also wrote, directed and produced, was made in 2019 and has won 48 awards at international festivals to date. It's a worldwide festival success. In 2020-2021 Schade is working on a feature film version of "The Invitation (Die Einladung)".
