Lauren Karl effortlessly combines her passion for acting in film, theater and on television, and her love of sports, into a multi-talented career. She is also an accomplished varsity athlete in basketball, soccer, golf and squash and played Division One lacrosse at the University of California-Berkeley. She is an avid marathon runner and understands the rigorous training that one has to undergo to compete in the world of sports. Lauren Karl has always been motivated by her love of the arts and sports. She began to express her creative talent through jazz and modern dance at a young age, while excelling as an athlete. She starred in several high school plays including Twelfth Night, Midsummer's Nights Dream and Peter Pan at the prestigious Agnes Irwin School in Philadelphia. She studied Theater, Performing Arts and Dance at the University of California-Berkeley and at London, England's Middlesex University. She starred in a variety of theatrical productions including: The Vagina Monologues, Sex, Man & Beast and Cirques Du Death. Upon completion of her college studies, she relocated to Los Angeles to train with the illustrious Groundlings Improvisation Company and concentrate on her acting skills by studying the famed Stanislovsky Acting Technique. Her unique raspy vocal qualities landed her roles in plays, music videos, TV series and feature films, including Venus and Vegas (with Molly Sims) and Feel(with Billy Baldwin). She is a very successful voice-over actress and her "distinct style" can be heard on several national commercials. Karl devotes as much time as possible to help others in need. She is an active triathlon runner and has been involved in several AIDS marathon events She has been training for six months so she can compete in the Honolulu marathon on December 8, 2007. This single, accomplished actress resides in Los Angeles and enjoys studying yoga, taking "fire dancing" classes and playing with her Puggle, Berkeley. Lauren Karl continues to develop her craft, and is looking forward to wonderful new opportunities in the worlds of acting, performing and sports.
