Nedyalko Delchev

Nedyalko Delchev is a Bulgarian actor and director. From his early twenties Nedyalko Delchev has wanted to become a director. His initial aim was Film Directing, but he confronted a number of difficulties applying to the National Filmmaking Academy. At that same time however, he got a chance to apply to a Theater Directing course, where to his surprise, got accepted. He has worked in theaters all over Bulgaria and other countries like England and Japan for the last twenty years. He received an Award "Askeer" - the Bulgarian version of the Oscar, in 1993 for directing. He has worked at Blagoevgrad Theater "Nikola Vapcarov". He is giving lessons in acting to students from American University in Bulgaria, Blagoevgrad. Nedyalko Delchev was declared "one of the ten best theater directors in Bulgaria" at the Theatre Festival in Avignon in 2000. He is a Chairman of the Guild of Bulgarian theater directors. He is also one of the favorite teachers of students from the American University in Bulgaria, where he teaches theater and stage plays. They even awarded him the distinction Coolest Non-Student.
