Marc Atom Borins is a Canadian actor, singer, model, musician, songwriter and performance artist. He started off his career in community theatre musicals and summer camp productions through the mid 1990s. As a teenager he gained a presence in Toronto's commercial industry, starring in TV commercials and shooting modeling/print spots. Borins studied Musical Theater Performance at Sheridan College and Acting for Film, TV & Theater at The Toronto Film School, before landing guest appearances on television series', Missing and Canadian cult hit/teen drama, Degrassi: The Next Generation. During this time he also starred as Peter Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank (Stage Centre Productions), and was featured in several short films, notably Love You Forever, based on the beloved children's story by author Robert Munsch. Marc Borins is known for his stand-out personality in public entertainment roles, hosting The Price is Right at the Festival Marketplace in Stratford, Ontario, the 2010 Major League Lacrosse season for The Toronto Nationals and just concluded his second year at Toronto's Busker Fest. Also in 2010, Borins was cast as the lead in Merry Christmas Bob, a short film to be released December 2011. Marc can be spotted in Howie Mandel's show Howie Do It showing off his comedy chops on CBC/Global. As well as film and television accomplishments, Marc performed in his first Toronto Fringe Festival in Slingers the Musical (July 2010) and received rave reviews for his role in Jonathon Larson's Rent with (T3 Productions). Currently Marc can be seen in various TV commercials airing throughout North America. Most recently Borins started an indie groove rock band called Atom and The Volumes. Like his brother, folk-rock star Dave Borins, Marc is a regular act among Toronto's indie music scene. Released their debut EP last summer and are set to perform at this years Canadian Music Week in March. Check out their first music video "To The Beat" created by Lauryn Elan Zuk and Marc himself.
