Andre Pitre

A native of Beaumont, Texas. He is a graduate of West Side High School in Beaumont. He also received his Bachelor's degree in Communications, with a minor in Theater from Prairie View A&M University. During his freshman year at Prairie View A&M University, he was a founding member of a trio Rapor (Andre, Cedric and Jeff) that won the Homecoming Talent Showcase, the first time that a freshman group had won the contest. With the absence of the Jeff the group continued for two more years. Cedric did not return to school and Andre began his solo career. He released his first album, This is Andre on Unitan Records. Andre is the recipient of many awards for his athletic, academic and musical abilities including Best Male Vocalist (Solo and Group), Outstanding Freshman Male and Most Handsome. He acted in several plays as a member of the internationally renowned Charles Gilpin Players and performed at the Talent Showcase for the N.A.F.E.O. in Washington, DC.
