Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Felipe has always had an inclination towards the performing arts. As a child he attended a music school that helped him to develop a good ear. At age 14, he taught himself guitar and started to compose. He performed as lead vocalist in various bands with friends. He was named Music Director at his high school's arts festival. He eventually enrolled in University for three years, taking theatre classes for extra curricular credits until he decided to become a full time actor. At age 21, he attended the Vancouver Film School's Full Time Acting for Film and TV program. Upon graduation he then took the Film Production Full Time Program at the same school, graduating with honors from both programs. He then moved back to Mexico in late 2005. In 2006, he went to New York City to audition for the Stella Adler Studio of Acting's 2.5 year conservatory program. He was accepted, but advised to start working rather than studying again. And so he did. Felipe went back to Monterrey where he met the famous Mexican actress Patricia Reyes Spindola at a play he participated in upon arriving from NYC. She advised him to move to Mexico City, and once he moved there two weeks later, she introduced him to the most important casting directors in town and so he started to audition for feature films. His first audition was for the movie "Species 4" and he landed the part. Since then he began working in commercials and other projects, including a small part in the movie "Rudo y Cursi", starred by Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, and directed by Carlos Cuaron in 2007. But it wasn't until early 2008 that he landed his first big role in a movie directed by Gerardo Tort called "Viaje Redondo" ("Round Trip", winner of the Best Movie Award at the Guadalajara International Film Festival 2009), playing the role of Flavio. Also in 2009 Felipe got a part in the Fox TV series called "Persons Unknown", released in 2010 in the United States, playing the role of Ricky Morton. In 2011, Felipe got a leading part in the Discovery Channel TV series "Killer Instinct", playing a Mexican serial killer known as "The Sadist".
