Cory was born in Dauphin, Canada and left for Vancouver shortly after high school. 10 days after arriving in Vancouver in 1994, Chetyrbok had his first appearance in an episode of The X-Files. While working and studying at the Bruhanski Theatre Studio and/or the William Davis Centre for Actor's Study. Chetyrbok founded and operated "Happy Bats Cinema", a Main Street Vancouver video store named one of the city's best (The Georgia Straight "Best of Vancouver"), and worked with several independent film creatives in Vancouver- producing and starring in independent genre films that won as many as 4 "Bloodshots 48 hr" filmmaking competitions. A best Actor Leo award nomination was given to Chetyrbok for his portrayal of a painter in "Soylent Red", directed and edited by Scott Belyea (whose editing in Soylent Red was also nominated, though both nominations were subsequently not competitive in the award process of the Leo's, that year). Chetyrbok earned a fine arts degree studying language, history and film, at the University of Manitoba and at the National University of Kiev-Mohyla, in Ukraine. Working between Vancouver and Winnipeg, Cory has a beautiful young daughter - who also has an early love of music and dance. Recent appearances in "Siberia" alongside Keanu Reeves, and a comedic role in "Sorry for your Loss", showed off Chetyrbok's knowledge and use of Russian and Ukrainian language. His roles have ranged from dark and moody characters in horror genre pictures, period and character roles in sci-fi and Western dramas, and his foul-mouthed Slavic garbage truck driver "Ivar", in a comedic feature filmed in Winnipeg.
