John Flynn

Dr. John L. Flynn is an author, screenwriter, and three-time Hugo nominee. He is a member of the Science Fiction Writers of America and the Mystery Writers of America. He has written more than a dozen science fiction and film-related books, including The Jovian Dilemma and 2001: Beyond the Infinite. His screenplay for "The Jovian Dilemma" was runner-up in the 2003 Screenplay Festival. In 2014, with the publication of Intimate Bondage, he started writing a series of romance thrillers, featuring Kate Dawson, a homicide detective with the San Francisco Police Department. Architects of Armageddon, the second book in the series, was published in 2017, followed by Murder on Air Force One and Terror at G-20 (both in 2017), and Merchants of Death (in 2018). For 25 years, Flynn was been writing a biography of actress and showgirl Angelique Pettyjohn, and finally completed that work in 2019, for his 20th book. Dr. Flynn is featured in the documentary, "Finding the Future: A Science Fiction Conversation" (2004), by Director Casey Moore.
