Jenn Lindsay worked in film post-production since 2005 as a film editor, story assistant, and independent producer with MTV, the Sundance Channel, Atmosphere Pictures, and Swete Films. Since 2001 she released 10 studio albums as a singer-songwriter on her own record label No Evil Star Records. She holds a degree in playwriting from Stanford, training in arts management from Yale, a masters in religious studies from Columbia and a PhD in anthropology of religion from Boston University. As of 2017 Lindsay completed 7 short and feature documentaries on religion and is in production with Simulating Religion, an eight-episode documentary miniseries, and Minding Shadows, a feature documentary about an African Buddhist monk. In 2009 Lindsay launched a documentary production company Get Thee to a Nunnery Productions, screening ethnographic documentaries in festivals, conferences and classrooms, winning awards from the International Society for Religion and Science and the Society for Psychological Anthropology. In 2016 Lindsay co-founded So Fare Productions in Rome with two other women in the film and television industry. Lindsay previously reported as a video journalist for Religion News Service and from 2014 served as staff documentarian for the Center for Mind and Culture in Boston, where she produced short films about the ongoing scientific projects of the Center.
