A longtime veteran make up and make up effects artist in Central Florida, Daniel Ingraham has been involved with 15 of the internationally acclaimed 'Halloween Horror Nights' events at Universal Orlando, as well as supervising the make up department at Spooky World, [then] in Berlin, Massachusetts, in the autumn of 1996. He has also been involved with Universal Orlando's annual 'Grinchmas' show held at their Islands of Adventure theme park and the 'Macy's Holiday Parade' at the Universal Studios theme park . Daniel was born and raised in Kensington, Maryland. As a child of seven his father, David H. Ingraham (1923-1985), would sit Daniel on his lap to watch late night re-runs of King Kong (1933) (1933), The Wolf Man (1941)(1941),Night of the Living Dead (1968) (1968), etc. on the "Creature Feature" show (1973-1987) hosted by Count Gore De Vol (a.k.a. Richard Dyszel) on WDCA20 in Washington D.C.. He began making Super-8 movies in middle school (1978-1980) with one of his closest childhood friends, musician and music producer Jay "J." Robbins (Govt. Issue, Jawbox & Burning Airlines). Daniel, further, developed his obsession with anything having to do with makeup, special make up effects, special effects, practical effects, movies, theatre and live entertainment while attending Albert Einstein High School (1980-1984) in his home town. After high school Daniel attended Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland (1984-1990), earning 2 A.A. degrees, one in Sociology/Criminal Justice (1988) and the other in Technical Theatre (1990). Sadly, on May 11th of 1985, Daniel would lose the person who instilled in him his love for scary movies, Sci-Fi films, James Bond and westerns; and inspire his desire for a career in entertainment. His beloved Father would pass away on that warm, breezy Spring afternoon. In 1991 Daniel would move to Central Florida to pursue a career in entertainment. Between 1992 and 1994 he studied make up and make up effects under several exceptional artists, including the greatest living make up artist, at that time, the late Dick Smith. He has worked on several feature and short films over the years including, but not limited to, the producer of 'The Blair Witch Project (1999)', Gregg Hale's final project at UCF called 'Third Shifters'. His available credits include: Paradise Lost (1999) (1999), Extreme Force (2001) (a.k.a. 'Extreme Force' 2001), Deadly Species (2002) (2002) and Night (2006) (2006). 'Night' was produced in association with Daniel's production company, 'Glass Asylum Productions' . He also created all of the movie's make up effects, special effects and various props through the F/X shop he owns; 'Infinite Mirth Studio' . He, also, appeared in the feature film Zombies! Zombies! Zombies! (2008) (2008) as a featured Zombie during the climax of the movie. Daniel, also, made his journalistic debut in the premiere issue of the, now defunct, horror magazine 'Shriek Freak Quarterly,' on October 1, 2008 writing the make up tips "how to" column called 'Make Up Mayhem.' The column appeared in issues: one, three, four, five and seven. Two short stories he wrote have been published in the literary horror magazine 'Twisted Dreams' (also defunct), "What Lurks (At The End Of The Hall)" in the June 2009 issue and "Guilt" in the October 2009 issue. In November of 2004, Daniel began working with Mickey M. Bonura on several projects. Daniel has worked with Mickey on other events at/for Universal Orlando. Those events are 'Halloween Horror Nights IX: The Last Gasp' (1999), 'Halloween Horror Nights XI: I.C.U. / Jack's Back!' (2001) and 'Halloween Horror Nights XIV: What's Your Breaking Point?' 2004), as well as a couple of 'Macy's Holiday Parade' shows. In the winter of 2004/2005, they collaborated, in the creation and writing of a feature length, anthology style, supernatural thriller together called 'The Coffin.' Their goal is to co-produce and co-direct this feature motion picture together in order to preserve something of their original vision. They, also have other projects, in various stages of development, that they're working on In March of 2007, Daniel and Glass Asylum Productions agreed to represent, in the United States and Canada, Rory Penland and Penland Productions, now based in Shenzhen, China in seeking distribution for a movie called "Ghost House." Daniel was, originally, the key make up and make up effects artist on the film. Glass Asylum Productions will, also, be trying to secure financing for several of Penland Productions animated features, as well.
