In 2002 The Tombstone Regulators' a gunfight re-enactment group was founded by its owner Actor/Writer/Director Hank Hustus' of Big Gun Productions. The idea was to have a "pool" of actors to allow other gunfight re-enactment groups in Tombstone, Arizona to "borrow" people as needed to fill the parts of the shows if their actors were not available for some reason. The Regulators started to perform in the streets of Tombstone with "gunfight skits" (scripts) that were written by Hank. The group grew to a total of over eighty members (some from overseas) but used around thirty people throughout most of the past few years. Hank portrayed "Wyatt Earp" while his friend Paul Adkins portrayed "Ringo". The Group has received several awards over a two year period 2003/2004 in costuming, gunfight re-enactments and parades. The Tombstone Regulators decided to start doing film work in 2004 and have appeared in several productions from films, TV shows and commercials since then. The Tombstone Regulators were used as background in "Dual" (2005) starring Michael Worth and Karen Kim (several members got a part in the film too) and "Miracle at Sage Creek" (2005) starring Wes Studi, Irene Bedard and David Carradine. Some of the group even went to Santa Fe, New Mexico and were used as background for the TNT mini series "Into the West" (2005). The group will be featured in several of Hanks' upcoming films including his latest project "7 Spanish Angels the Movie" to be filmed in 2007. The Tombstone Regulators pride themselves with the ability to offer authentic 1800's costuming, their own weapons and equipment and being able to follow directions on the set in a professional manner.
