Lara grew up in the outback opal mining town of Andamooka, where her parents settled after immigrating from Europe. As a child, she spent time riding motorbikes, camping in the outback and watching movies at the Community Hall and a local Drive-In, where Lara's father worked as the projectionist. It was through this exposure to film that Lara developed a love of movies and storytelling, later pursuing her creative interests by studying Graphic Art and Drama. Moving to Perth, Lara played the lead in "100 Degrees" and "Love Me, Love My," before producing and acting in a successful run of the musical "Long Gone Lonesome Cowgirls". In Vancouver, Lara was contributing writer and story editor on the pilot episode of "Last Chance Casting", and creator-producer-actress on "First Class Heist" & "The DuChamps School of Acting". Other acting credits include "Superman Returns", "Baleful" and "The Sand That Ate The Sea". Lara is developing a slate of projects with her producing partners at Cinematica Films.
