Being a native Floridian, born in Miami, Lauren Rigau remained close to her Cuban roots. This nineteen year old has always been comfortable in the limelight. This was evidenced at the tender age of three where she basked in the glory of a ballet recital in front of an enormous audience. Lauren's most recent accomplishment has been the role of Claudette Rousseau - a lead in the upcoming feature film "The Inner Circle". In this coming of age story Lauren plays a mischievous and tortured girl, who discovers what is truly unraveling behind closed doors at the boarding school she attends. It all began when Lauren and her Dad, Carlos - an award-winning photojournalist, noticed that there was no media geared towards teens and teen issues. That is when they created Teen Talk. Teen Talk was a weekly segment that introduced fun and serious stories about kids and adults that impact teenagers' lives - this was at the age of fourteen. Lauren and her Dad brought the concept to General Manager, Don Browne and News Director, Tim Geraghty of NBC-6. They loved the idea of bringing a fresh perspective to their already successful veteran News Anchors. Thus, Lauren began producing and hosting, subsequently, complimenting the news gathering team. As host of NBC-6's Teen Talk, Lauren has hosted/produced: an exclusive segment with Aaron and Angel Carter for Access Hollywood; Andy Garcia for his 2006 film, "The Lost City" for the NBC-6 morning news; a documentary about Cuban musical prodigy, Israel "Cachao" Lopez; and reported on the World Series Champion Florida Marlins. Other interviews: Gone one-on-one with Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell; Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys; Gloria and Emilio Estefan; O'Town; Pit Bull; Access Hollywood's Billy Bush; Russell Simmons & Rev Run; Julio Iglesias, Jr., N'Sync; Fame's Debbie Allen; Tennis Player, Maria Sharapova; Even Stevens' A J Trauth; Artist, Alexandra Nechita; Latin Grammy Award Winner, Jorge Moreno; Nestor Torres; Julio Mechoso; Candace C.C. Carey of Drumline and World Renowned Artist, Romero Brito. Teen Talk aired Sunday mornings on Today in South Florida for two years. You can listen to and view some of Lauren's work at www.mcmurdomanagement.com In addition, Lauren was a guest host for two years on J.D. Balart's American Radio Journal with her nationally aired live segment "Teen Talk" on Fox News Radio. Here Lauren spoke on an array of teen related issues such as drugs, underage drinking, teen pregnancy and the obesity epidemic. In the Summer of 2005, Lauren worked on a short film "Common Practice" playing the role of the shopkeeper's daughter. This film was featured in the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. Lauren has appeared as Lenore on Nickelodeon's Ned's Declassified. And, on Strictly Dr. Drew on the Discovery Health Channel, Lauren was able to show her professionalism and experience on a youth panel discussing teen issues. She has also performed stand up at the world renowned LA Improv, and can currently (2007) be seen in a National Commercial for Lifesavers where she plays the bass guitar - ironic thing is that she has never played the bass guitar. She has also lent her voice to Nickelodeon's New Generation Latinos, MetLife Foundation, and Walmart's Back to School Campaign.
