Richard Keel discovered filmmaking during a mid-life crisis. He bought a camera instead of a sports car. Given the rise in gas prices, it seems a wise choice. With BrainCo, a creative collaborative in Norfolk, Virginia, Keel writes, directs and edits a growing list of quirky, well-received shorts. His directorial debut, Forgotten Stars, garnered awards at several festivals. His first feature script, Zombie Park, did the same. He has directed and co-written award-winning shorts for three years at the 48 Hour Film festival. Personally, he lives in Norfolk, Virginia with his family.
