Kristina Cousins

Kristina was born October 4, 1980, in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. She and her three sisters grew up on the family grain farm. She was an excellent student, and she spent many hours at the piano. She received First Class Honours from the Royal Conservatory of Music for Grade Nine Piano. Kristina also enjoyed singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday School. Kristina began skating at the age of nine. At the age of 16 she moved to Edmonton, Alberta, to train as a competitive ice dancer. In 1999 she and her partner moved to Barrie, Ontario, where she trained and coached at the world renowned Mariposa National Training Center. She competed nationally and internationally until 2004. At that time she began performing on a skating show for the Royal Caribbean cruise ships. In November of 2005 Kristina performed on ITV's popular skating show, "Torvil and Dean's Dancing on Ice". In May of 2006 she travelled to Australia to perform in "Dancing on Ice - Australia". She will once again return to British television for season two of "Torvil and Dean's Dancing on Ice." When Kristina is not filming for television, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Canada.
