Perth born, Brett attended the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts completing a Diploma of Performance. Directly after graduating in 1992 he obtained a job as an on air presenter for Channel 7 Perth's The Pulse, a culture show dealing with everything from nightclub reviews to drug issues. During this time Brett was nominated as one of Cleo's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors. After a year on The Pulse Brett was headhunted by Channel 10 for a Presenter role on The Buzz, another culture based show but for a younger market. During his time with 10 he hosted the 1994 Rock n Roll Eisteddfod. When local production was cancelled in Perth, Brett moved back into his passion of acting performing in a number of Independent Theater productions, in addition to working solidly as a Puppeteer for 3 years. Moving to London in 1998, Brett continued acting, performing in Shakespeare before returning to Perth to take on a part in a touring production of Ed The Antichrist with the Act-O-Matic 3000 Theater Company (as a founding member). With the tour ending as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival, he decided to make the city his new home and has since continued to further his acting career. Since 2000 he has had numerous television appearances on a variety of Australian productions including Secret Life of Us, Blue Heelers, Stingers, Rush, Upper Middle Bogan and Neighbours. Additionally he has continued to work on stage in a number of independent and professional touring productions performing in over 30 since moving to Melbourne including the Greenroom Award winning The Laramie Project and the 2017 season of Standing On Ceremony at Chapel Off Chapel to benefit Marriage Equality. Currently Brett continues to work on personal projects such as "Project Management - A Comedy Webseries" and is developing a couple of animated web series.
