Andrew Pozza was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Texas State, formerly Southwest Texas State University, as a theatre major before transferring to the University of Texas in Austin to major in film (Radio-Television-Film). In 2001, Andrew dropped out of college and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in anything anyone would hire him to do, namely anything. In 2005, film school paid off when an ex-actor from a film school short 'Derek Nixon' approached Andrew to direct a horror script (Hallettsville) Nixon had written with a friend. After many failed attempts to persuade the producers to shoot one of his "quirky dramedies' instead, Pozza agreed to direct, adding quirk to the film by way of actor Gary Busey. In 2010 Andrew moved back to San Antonio to finish up his degree, this time in English. Upon moving back his screenplay "A Schizophrenic Love Story" became a finalist in the Austin Film Festival Screenplay competition and would later go on to be produced by Nixon again. Andrew enlisted the help of 'Dylan Thomas Ellis," whom he had met in Los Angeles, to direct the film. In 2011, Andrew took a semester off to shoot _Supernatural Activity (2012)_. Andrew graduated in December of 2012, shortly before the world almost ended, or at least so some people thought.
