Greta Zenelaj was born in Tirana, Albania. Greta's interest in the arts began at an early age, performing in festivals and theatrical productions as a young child. Her passion for the arts was underscored when she won a prize for her poetry when she was only eight years old. Despite of the political turmoil in her country, Greta studied at Tirana University, majoring in journalism. After her graduation, she pursued a career as a freelance journalist, traveling throughout Albania, as well as many countries in Europe. In 2000, Greta was able to join her family in Michigan, US. She eventually moved to Los Angeles with her sister Vilma with the goal to pursue her acting career to the fullest. After starring in several short films and student films, Greta decided to expand her work to the production side of the industry. She and her sister founded Colored Films, the first Albanian production company in Hollywood, in 2008. At Colored Films, Greta co-wrote, produced and starred in their first feature film, a dark comedy "What Do I Do Now?" as Claudia, a masseuse who's client faints while she's massaging him, and with the help of a few friends, she tries to hide the dead body. The film won Best Comedy Feature at the New York International Independent Film Festival in 2009. Next, she executive produced and co-wrote a thriller titled "In The Woods," where a couple falls prey to a hunter while they are camping in the forest. Shot in only ten days with only ten member crew and cast, "In The Woods" became a highly acclaimed indie, accepted in six major film festivals and named the winner of a Silver Ace Award at the Las Vegas Film Festival and Best Feature at the Detroit Windsor International Film Festival. Greta also won the Best Actress Award in the New York International Independent Film Festival for her role in the film. Greta's future is bright not only as an actress, but also as a producer and writer. She's currently involved in several projects including her production company's third feature titled "Shqipe" (Eagle), as well as several TV series.
