Gary Jay Coffman

Gary Jay Coffman was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A. His family moved to the suburbs of Indianapolis when he was seven years old where he ultimately attended high school and was first introduced to theater. He continued to act on stage for credit at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana and moved to Kyoto, Japan after graduation. There he began a part-time acting career and made appearances on several Japanese television networks in various commercials and programs. In 2007, Coffman realized his most notable role to date as Matsudaira Desunoshin in a series of Toei Company, Ltd. and Nippon Columbia Company, Ltd. productions beginning with Metaru-zamurai (2008).
