Lindsay grew up in a small town in Illinois as the daughter of a preacher. During her time at college at Lincoln Christian University, Lindsay began focusing more on her roles in plays and musicals than on her homework. After a performance Lindsay was approached by a man who encouraged her to study acting and pursue this industry professionally. Taking his advice she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and graduated in the 2005 class receiving the Michael Thoma award.
