Renowned Irish rugby international and Munster player, Paul O'Connell, is a native of Limerick. In his younger years, Paul represented Young Munster R.F.C. before moving on to represent Munster, Ireland and the British & Irish Lions. He made his debut for Ireland against Wales in the Six Nations 2002, scoring a try. Paul was named as the British & Irish Lions Captain for the 2009 tour to South Africa.
