Joan Lluís Goas is director and producer, who started working as a journalist writing about movies in some of the major Spanish magazines on the subject. He hosted "Polvo de Estrellas" (TV show for A3 along with Carlos Pumares) during the 80's. After this he hosted and directed Noche de lobos (1991). This TV show focused on fantastic and horror films (which he introduced with his personal style) and is still remembered by his passionate fans. As a director of Festival de Cine Fantástico de Sitges (between 1983 and 1992) he made great changes that lead to a better film selection, international awareness and media coverage of the festival. He has also produced some of the most successful musicals in Spain, such as "Siete novias para siete hermanos" (2003-2006), "Cantando bajo la lluvia" (2005-2006), "Grease, el musical de tu vida" (2006-2009), "Spamalot" (2008-2010), "Hair" (2010), "Grease, el musical" (2010) y "No te vistas para cenar" (2012). He also has produced some TV movies and documentaries in the last years, such as "Millennium" (TVCatalunya), Loquillo leyenda urbana (2008), "Hoy el día se repite diferente", "Sexual Intelligence", El cas de la núvia dividida (2006) o "Cámara Oscura". He has recently published his first book "Entre dioses y monstruos, historias de cine y vida" (Al Revés Editorial, 2016) were he shares some interesting and surprising memories about his years as director of Festival de Sitges: meals, conversations, wild nights and press conferences with actors, directors and other gods and monsters of show business.
