With 15+ years of development, production and post production experience in New York and Los Angeles, Johanna Vanderspool is a seasoned multi- platform director, writer and producer. Based primarily in Los Angeles, she's made her way into showrunning TV series (nonfiction and scripted) for broadcast, cable, digital and branded entertainment projects. As an independent professional and consultant, Johanna has been hired by numerous production companies and networks: NBC, CBS, ABC, IFC, Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Spike, CMT, BET, Travel, History, A&E, USA Networks, SYFY, E!, TruTV, Esquire, Bravo, HGTV, GSN, Oxygen, Lifetime, Hallmark, PBS, BBC, Facebook, Google, SnapChat, Youtube, PopSugar, Fullscreen, Tastemade, Warrior Poets, Sony Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Disney. Rolling Ball Productions is a boutique production company specializing in short form content, i.e. digital series, commercials, intersitials/promos, behind-the-scenes EPKs, music videos, corporate videos and short films. Clients include: Pier 1 Imports, Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Ford, American Airlines, Nike, Loreal, Google, Facebook, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, American Career College, Murad, Beachbody, WOW TV. As a director- she's a passionate filmmaker, concentrating on female and minority subjects; creating stories of comedy, action, drama...with heart and intelligence. Her last film, FRESH BLOOD, won Best Directing awards at prominent LA, NYC and Toronto film festivals; premiering at the Los Angeles Shortsfest, Toronto Shortsfest, International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts, HollyShorts, Hollywood Comedy Shorts Festival, Women in Comedy, Toronto International TV Video Awards, New Filmmakers LA, NYCIFF, Artemis Women in Action Film Festival. Among her other artistic talents, Johanna enjoys endeavors in front of the camera. She utilizes her strength as a director to be a more thoughtful on camera host and actress. Her consistent goals are to make impactful and touching feature films; as well as direct edgy thought provoking TV series, either in the fictional or non fictional realms.
