Who Is Nicole Lynn Tucker Nicole Lynn Tucker is an accomplished thespian, mentor, community activist, and educator. Her love for acting started at the age of 6 when she was cast as "The Little Drummer Boy" in a holiday play. She would always tell her mother that she wanted to be "inside of the television", thinking that of course, that is where all entertainers lived! From that time on she became heavily involved in the Philadelphia art culture. She danced with the Philadelphia Dance Alliance for 4 years. Nicole started to play the violin and became a member of the city-wide "First District String Ensemble". She went to high school for theater and graduated at the top of her class. While in college for Journalism she became the host of her own radio show which aired on WDAS 1480 AM, "The Black Arts Review", with Nicole Tucker. The show featured up-and-coming Philadelphia artists, celebrated black culture, and delved into fearless conversations about race and injustices of the black community. Nicole has starred and toured in several plays on the East coast. She has also performed in several theater festivals. Nicole has been the lead actress of several award-winning films, naming, "The Negro Zone" and "CONSEQUENCES". She has also starred in Maverick Films, "Sure Looks Good". In 2008, The Philadelphia Daily News chose Nicole as one of its "Sexy Singles". In 2012, she was then selected to be a "Sexy Single Hall of Fame" member. Nicole earned her B.A. in Journalism from Temple University. It was there that she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and continues to be an active member 23 years later. She holds a Master's in Elementary Education as well as a Master's degree in Behavioral Analysis from St. Joseph's University. Nicole volunteers time with numerous community outreach programs in the City of Philadelphia. She has been a mentor for the Dawn Staley program. She continues to serve as a mentor as she sits as a board member of S.I.S.T.A., Supporting & Inspiring Sisters to Achieve. his non-profit organization provides adolescent girls from socio-economic, disadvantaged, and traditionally overlooked neighborhoods the educational, social, and emotional support to make positive choices for themselves, their families, and communities to succeed in higher education, enrich careers, and healthy relationships. Nicole is the creator of "Act Right". This acting class and after-school program is a place where elementary scholars, from the shy to the outgoing can develop self-confidence, leadership skills, and a positive approach to life. She incorporates English Learning Arts and Social and Emotion Learning, with a wide range of unique acting activities! These acting classes draw out the quiet child or the inarticulate child and help them to discover their full potential. She has recently been cast as the co-host of The Green Squad with Chef Kess, a vegan cooking show.
