Joshua Tuifua was a ballet dancer with The Royal Ballet. Born in London to a Tongan Father and English Mother, his introduction to the stage was as a child, performing at the London Palladium in 'The King & I' starring Yul Brenner and Virginia McKenna. At 10 years old, Joshua joined the Royal Ballet School, graduating at 18 into London's Royal Ballet Company, becoming the kingdom of Tonga's first ballet dancer. During his 16 year career as a Soloist with the company, he performed a variety of roles including; Benvolio in 'Romeo & Juliet' and Eros in Ashton's 'Sylvia'. Josh was also a popular character artiste within the company, performing roles such as Gamache in 'Don Quixote' and Lysander in 'The Dream'. Joshua Retired from the Royal Ballet in 2008.
