Rose Pacatte, FSP is a Catholic nun and an award-winning film, TV and pop culture journalist. She was born in 1951 in Portsmouth, VA and grew up with seven siblings in Navy family in San Diego, CA. She entered the Daughters of St. Paul in 1967 and has been working in communications media ever since. In 1995 she received an MEd in Media Studies from the Institute of Education at the University of London, UK and began the Pauline Center for Media Studies in Culver City, CA that specializes in training parents and teachers in media literacy education. Rose was a contestant on many episodes of NBC's and GSN "1 vs. 100" and one episode of NBC's short lived "Take It All" in 2012. In 2014 she began to hosts her own online interview and review show, "The Industry with Sr. Rose on the IN Network" in addition to reviewing films and media for the National Catholic Reporter and St. Anthony Messenger. Rose had her first gig as a comic at the Catholic Comedy Night Charity Event, Laugh Factory, Hollywood, in 2013. Since 2012 Rose has been reviewing movies for RCL/Benziger, a website for kids, teachers, and parents. Rose is also a consultant for Ubiquity Pictures. Sr. Rose's film review blog "Sister Rose Movies" on Patheos is ranked #126 out of the top 300 church blogs in 2014. Sr. Rose was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis in 1997.
