Rita Duvall Aka Rita Do Vale Capela, is a Portuguese actress and theatre deviser. She graduated from a 5-year course in Theatre Studies from Évora Uni. She also completed the Erasmus Program in Milan and Brescia, studying Theatre and Cinema. Back in Portugal, she completed a training course for professional actors lasting 3 years at the Act for all (Lisbon), one of the best Portuguese Schools, scoring 17 - Good with distinction. In December 2014 she moved to London, where she worked as an actress while attending the full-time course APT Forge Initiative administered by the prestigious Brian Astbury. Combining her work and studies, she's worked with names such as José Alberto Ferreira, Luis Varela, Nuno Pino Custódio, Elsa Valentim ,Vicente Alves do Ó, José Peixoto, João Canijo, Brian Astbury, Nwando Ebizie, Jonathan Grieve,Jessica Beck, Leonard Petit, Shane Dempsey, Gary Breckett, Emma Brown. During her artistic journey, she co-founded the social Theatre in Algarve -ATOA, RockSalt. Rita is known for plays such "The Misanthrope" by Miguel Sopas , "The Musical" By Antonio Pires, "The Gamblers" written and directed by herself and Brian Astbury, "Unholy Trinity" devised Theatre directed by Jonathan Grieve and "Nora" in (Camden and Clapham Fringe 2016). Among other projects, she is a member of Seara Theatre company which links international artists. She is also known for writing her own plays like '1920' and 'Once I had a Shelter' that stands out as a piece of physical theatre.
