Peter Esteves

For 20 years, Peter has been working behind the lens. Peter's reputation for being able to produce high quality content in the most remote and unforgiving locations on the planet brought opportunities to document everything from elusive nomads wandering the Sahara, to vanishing tribal cultures in South Africa, Namibia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Borneo, Indonesia, Madagascar, The High Arctic and the Amazon. Peter has filmed in over 65 countries worldwide and has gained access to people and places once thought untouchable. Peter's reputation and ability to produce content in extreme locations garnered him the chance to create and produce some of the most iconic survival adventure series' in the history of television. Peter has had a direct role in producing Survivorman, Naked and Afraid, Alone, Beyond Survival with Les Stroud, Sons of Winter, and Exploring Horizons. His broadcast work has been viewed on major networks worldwide including Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Outdoor Life Network, PBS, Travel Channel Science Channel, and HBO amongst others. In 2017 Peter helped produce Hellfire Heroes, a documentary series about rural firefighters in Northern Canada, where he and his crew were fully trained as firefighters and embedded in order to accurately capture the job these men and women really do. Over the past two years Peter has been Story Producing and Directing Discovery Channels primetime hit series, Heavy Rescue 401. Peter is also the Series Director for Discovery Channels newest series Hellfire Heroes.
