Paul started cutting his teeth as a teenager in the early 90s, playing in Australian bands such as Matt Finish, and Split Dogs. He worked in audio engineering for a number of years as well as a musician and record producer, and ended up moving into film post and scoring work. His breakthrough score movie was the famous cult hit The Tunnel (2010). He followed that score with a number of award-winning features, short films, and shows, such as Event Zero, Hungry For Change, Airlock, The Crossing, The Connection, and Palindromes. He received a "Best Music" award in 2014 for the score to the short film Terrarial, for a competition run worldwide by 20th Century Fox. He was nominated for Best Score for the show Airlock at the OzFlix Awards. He also scored the main themes to the anthology A Night Of Horror Volume One, which won the Melbourne Underground Film Festival Special Jury Prize. His most recent notable score was the horror feature Beast No More. He is also long-time screenplay writer, and a producer, and has written and directed short films including the multiple award winners A Remarkable Career, and Dead People Problems. His biggest influences in film are John Carpenter and Stanley Kubrick.
