Kelly has recently returned to Youthworx Productions as Producer/Camera Operator. She is also shooting Season 2 of Resto My Ride, having also shot half of Season 1. Prior to this Kelly was the script supervisor on 'Superwog' Season 1 and 2, and created videos for Beyond Blue and the NPY Women's council in Alice Springs. In 2018 Kelly was one of the Producers on a four part web series for the Abc 'The Wrong Kind of Black' with Princess Pictures; an Indigenous drama/comedy based on the life and stories of award winning author and storyteller Boori Monty Pryor. 'Wrong kind of Black' is available on Netflix and was nominated for an International Emmy award. Kelly produced and edited short film 'Brown Paper Bag' which won best Indigenous film at the St Kilda Film Festival in 2017. Up until 2017 Kelly worked at Youthworx for 5years as the Senior Creative Producer although her role also included Directing, Editing, Camera Operating and Media training on over 50 Docos, Ads, Short Films, and Promo videos, one being 26min Doco 'Returning to Guugu Yimithirr Sea Country', which she Directed, Shot and Edited in collaboration with the Hopevale Community and Saltwater Projects. During this time Kelly also co-directed, shot and edited short film 'The Hills of Kadjina' in collaboration with the Elders and young people through Wullungarra Community School in W.A Kelly was the EP and Project Co-coordinator on C31's annual 'Working Title' Documentary Project over 2 years, where she worked with 40 young people from diverse backgrounds who were trained to create 8 Documentaries and also shot and edited short film 'The hills of Kadjina' in collaboration with the Wulungarra Community School, WA, which received over 250,000 views in one week. Kelly completed her Bachelor Degree in Film & TV Production at the VCA. She received a script writing award for her 1st yr film 'Just Jeremy 4,6' which opened the Sydney Mardi Gras Film Festival and played at many festivals and a travel grant through Film VIC to attend Frameline Film Festival to promote her 3rd Yr film 'Fine and Dandy', which screened at over 30 festivals around the world. Kelly started her career as a freelance filmmaker in her early twenties, making short films - one of which SBS purchased before she was commissioned to Shoot and Direct a 26min Doco as part of the SBS '24hrs' series.
