Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Roxie started off in the industry as a dancer. She has trained with the Joffery Ballet School, The School of Dance Theater of Harlem (full scholarship), Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, SUNY Purcahse, and finally at Fordham University/Alvin Ailey American Dance Center where she received her BFA in Dance. She has had the opportunity to do guest artist work with Burgos Contemporary Ballet in Burgos, Spain, and is a member of New York City based Genesis Dance Company under the direction of Karen Arceneaux. Roxie has been dancing for over 15 years. She started acting and training seriously while at Fordham University where she was introduced to Meisner and Stanislavski Techniques. She has studied additionally at HB Studios and The Barrow Group in NY. Roxie has appeared in off-off Broadway productions of A Raisin in the Sun, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, For Colored Girls, and The Cherry Orchid to name a few.
