Angelica grew up in Napoleon, Ohio, a small town approximately forty-five miles from Toledo. She was born to a Mexican immigrant father and an African-American mother from Kentucky. She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio where she majored in broadcast journalism. She worked for the BG News newspaper and co-hosted an on campus alternative music radio show which featured groups such as Janes Addiction, Ministry, Lords of Acid and Nine Inch Nails. After college, Angelica relocated to Washington DC to pursue journalism when a serendipitous encounter with a modeling scout led to work in several dozen print ads and local television commercials. After a "Hollywood Starmaker," rejected her attempt at obtaining representation, she accepted his advice to study acting at Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City and to get some On-Camera training in Los Angeles with the famous acting coach, Margie Haber. A very business oriented and focused talent, Angelica quickly enrolled at both schools. Having received the training she needed, Angelica has worked in a variety of mediums over the past years and her face has become familiar on television, on billboards and on the big screen. Her next endeavor, a comedic memoir is set to be published in 2009.
