Jhing Sillona is a Filipino-American singer, songwriter, producer, actress, educator, model, and entrepreneur. She was born to a family of singers and musicians and was surrounded by music all her life. She was introduced to multiple genres of music and honed her craft at an early age performing for family parties and gatherings, with the encouragement of her parents, Jun Sillona, a pianist, and Ampy Sillona, a singer. Jhing discovered that her talent also had some benefits when she started to earn extra money from winning singing contests around town. By the age of fifteen, she was singing four to seven days a week in corporate functions, casinos, and clubs for local bands in Los Angeles which included The Howlers, a band that was managed by her uncle and guitarist, Bobby Sillona. Soon after, her brother, JayR, joined her in the band. Jhing's diversity allows her to sing and compose different genres of music which led to numerous opportunities. She writes and sings with and for other artists and frequently does session work. She landed her first acting role in the blockbuster film, Spider-man 3, and has since appeared in shows such as Boston Legal, The Today Show, America's Got Talent, The Voice, and more. On stage, she's played a prostitute in Miss Saigon as well as a nun in Sound of Music. As an artist, she is best known in the independent music scene for her soul-flavored and jazz-tingled CD - "Sushi Money," which she co-wrote and co-produced with music industry veteran, Bobby Nunn, (The Jets, Philip Bailey (Earth Wind and Fire), Rick James). Her brother, JayR, known as The R&B King, is also featured on her CD. Sushi Money has an underground following around the world with thousands of fans in Germany, Japan, United Kingdom, Amsterdam, United States, England, Australia, and Philippines.
