Tamzie Fransen (aka Tamzie Duarte-Agyeman) born and raised in London, England to a Portuguese mother (worked in Tourism and Hospitality) and Ghanaian father (a businessman and prince from the Ashanti kingdom). Before she could walk she was already moving to the music. She grew up very multi-cultured, travelling with her parents to various countries on 3 continents. Attended school in the West End, the heart of London's theatre-land, that later influenced her in following the arts. At 11 years old she went to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, where she shared a class with ex Spice Girl, Emma Bunton , actress Keeley Hawes, and later where Amy Winehouse and Rita Ora attended, among other known local and international celebrities went to. During her attendance she studied acting, dancing and singing; of which dancing and acting were her passion. Later on learning that singing would complete being an " all rounder" performer. Whilst at Sylvia Young, she appeared in TV series, theatre, commercials and radio programs. Performing in the children's Royal variety show and Carmen Jones musical in London's West-end, had a minor role BBC TV The detectives, Grange Hill, East Enders, BBC world radio etc., had the lead part in Michael Miller's A Patchwork Quilt at the Polka Theatre, Wimbledon, along side international actress Noma Dumezweni. After attending Richmond upon Thames college and completing A levels, she went on tour around Europe with the Broadway musical, Haïr. At 21 she moved to Germany where she worked as a professional singer, at exclusive Galas, was a singer with a locally renowned 60s 70s soul band called Die Komm mit Mann!s. Appeared on numerous TV shows singing for various international artists like TV Total by Stefan Raab, Hollymund etc. Top of the Pops (Germany). Touring at large music festivals like Popcom. Sang backing vocals for a guest artist (Jack Radics) on the Blondie No Exit tour and Joe Cocker tour. Tamzie worked with producers writing songs and guide singing them for various artists of the time. Her voice was used in title roles to a few television shows, Pop stars (season 2) , Puma. Alarm für Cobra 11. Tamzie had an own album produced and recorded with Face to Face music at Principal studios and a 3 year contract with Extratours Events with her band called TAM but the name already belonged to another artist, so she used her name "Tamzie". Tamzie moved to the Netherlands for personal reasons but quickly found her way back to music and acting. She met Bobby Farrell from the original Boney M, shortly after moving to Amsterdam. There was a good click between them and she was invited to be one of his backing singers in Bobby Farrell's Boney M show for international shows. Was in the original first cast of the Dutch version of the Disney's musical The Lion King, Circus theater, Scheveningen. A versatile vocalist singing various genres such as; jazz, pop, rock, soul, funk, acid jazz, gospel. Working still as a native speaking actress and voice over actress. Credits include ; The Launch, re-launched by DJ Jean, Vlisco Wax Hollandaise, Baby Annabel TM (UK Market), Simon (award winning Dutch movie) Blind audition The Voice of Holland (season 5) 2014 with Gospel Queens winner of the sing off battle, Circus Gerschtanowitz Show 2, 2017 Contestant with Gospel Queens on All Together Now , Netherlands 2019 Appeared on Q-music NL on various occasions with the Gospel Queens Performs as "Miss T "with the Gospel Queens, Netherlands and Europe Performs with The Boney M Xperience. Tamzie has lived in various countries including Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. She speaks 6 languages fluently, besides her native English, she speaks Portuguese, German, Dutch, French and Spanish.
