Denise Fisher

Denise Fisher, President & Founder Candy Entertainment. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Denise's courage and zest for life began as a young girl, working summers at local entertainment companies but it was her innate connection to mankind that surfaced, as she began spreading her mantra and idea of people perpetually promoting positivism. This proved to be an indispensable tool in what would become Denise's signature-entertaining anyone, anytime, anywhere. She used the channels of chorus, school plays, tackling every instrument imaginable, party planning, counseling, social networking, and most importantly, storytelling, as a tool to make smiles appear-this was her "platinum" ring. In fact, her anecdotes and ideologies contributed deeply in her quest to manage and help those in need, giving the talented individuals that continually cross Denise's path, the impetus to motivate themselves, to pursue any vehicle necessary to accomplish their goals, and to showcase their innate abilities. As time moved forward, being in the "field" became Denise's sponge and she soaked up as much as she could in all relevant areas, including Summerfest, "The World's Largest Music Festival", local radio and television stations, and even a brief stint as a costume/fashion designer, where she also aided a photographer. Here she mingled and met many "Hollywood" types, which further fueled her love for not only the entertainment industry, but her passion for people. Her college career initially took her to Ithaca College and University of Maryland College Park, where she participated in everything from drama, to writing articles for the college newspaper, to the Greek system, which sprouted a new found love for an illustrious and seemingly untouchable industry, yet she was desperate to explore it much further. In addition, this was also where her love for philanthropic work grew and she participated in and founded many organizations, including K.I.D.S. (Kicking Indecent Dependencies In Schools), Sing For Smiles, and others. Internships abounded and included, WJFK and WLUM Radio, The Task Force For Battered Women, G.A.M.M.A., and MTV Networks. Huge changes were directly ahead for this trailblazing woman, and as Denise approached the end of college career, life took an about face. A few classes shy of graduating, an incredible job opportunity arose which spiraled her toward an unseen but tantalizing leap to the place she always dreamed of, California. Although it would mean an unforeseen break in her academic studies, she plowed straight into her work, at E! Entertainment Television, where she learned valuable lessons, the ins-and-outs of production, and eventually garnered the title of associate producer for the now defunct series, Talk Soup. Since calling Hollywood home, Denise has also worked in all facets of talent management along some of the most well known people in the industry and it became clear she was hooked forever, proving that the love of the "biz" would always be in her blood. Several agency stints followed, where she studied under the tutelage of agents in the motion picture, long form packaging, commercial, and television departments and a children's theatrical department, which ingrained her love for talent deeper than ever. However, It was working at a high profile, celebrity infested agency, International Creative Management that would permanently seal her love for "the client". It sharpened the tools, values, and beliefs that Denise needed to take the steps to start her own company and at the dawn of a new millennium, Candy Entertainment was born, now rapidly approaching the milestone of its 15th year in operation. With a life-long dedication to philanthropy and a company formed, Denise decided to use her resources as a platform for her to show her gratitude. Since then, Candy has supported many charitable organizations including The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Women in Film, The Sundance Patron Council, Step Up For Women, and many more. Paralleling millions across the planet, she has also been touched and affected with family and friends fighting disease. These circumstances prompted Denise's energies to develop her own foundation, "Smile! Laugh! Giggle!, spreading happiness, comfort, and a voice, to anyone in need of assistance. Over the course of many years, and as a female in the entertainment industry, Denise has recognized the lack of quality work for women in the business, and is working toward producing genuine and quality projects, with female leads at the helm. While Candy's clientele is strong in many areas of entertainment, the company strives to focus on ingénues of ANY age while finding them meaningful opportunities to advance in their trade. In collecting all of her experiences through representing talent throughout the years, and all of the amassed personal knowledge she has gained over time, she is currently writing her first two television series, The Discovery a tale of adoption, and Out of the M$n$y, a true-life inspired story of a woman in the 1960's world of finance, dominated by men. In addition, she is penning a self-help book entitled, Parking Angels, and a novel, called My Life In A Convertible, which is an ode to her longevity in the entertainment business. As Candy Entertainment continues its journey, and after choosing to let Hollywood be her guide and educator for almost two decades, Denise recently took the plunge to reignite her academic career. She is now a proud honors student, graduating at the top of her class-summa cum laude-and her deep desire to continue towards her pedagogical innateness is in pursuing her masters, which is presently in the works. In the years that follow, her aspirations and intentions to gain a PhD. in the field of entertainment, will never waiver. This is when, where, and how, Denise plans to showcase and introduce her storytelling, to the masses, bringing her life full circle. Denise's infinite intention, is to spread her message of laughter, passion, prospering, and positive thinking into all hearts and minds, and does so with a determined and dedicated soul. She is always positive, happy, and grateful, and currently resides in West Hollywood, works in Beverly Hills, and plays in Malibu, with her family, friends.
