David Wallace Marroquin was born in 1982 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico as David Marroquin Oseguera to Rafael Marroquin and Yolanda Oseguera. David is the third of four children. In pursuit of a better life, his family emigrated to Downey, California in 1987. His middle name, "Wallace", is his wife's maiden name, which David took on to honor her family. At an early age, David was an observer of all things. Quiet and shy, he took in the world and all of its nuanced subtleties. At the encouragement of a high school counselor, David began acting at the age of 17. He later attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, in London. His acting pursuits came to a halt when David was diagnosed with cancer in 2004 and 2005. Following chemotherapy, David was inspired to become a Los Angeles Police Officer, and joined the LAPD in May of 2007. David continues to work as a Police Officer for the Los Angeles Police Department, as well as continuing his pursuit of cinematography and directing. In 2013 he co-wrote, acted and directed in his first feature film 'Between the Fall and Rise', inspired by a young woman he met while on patrol in Downtown's 'Skid Row' area. He financed much of the film himself and is still in post production. David is a cinematographer, director and producer, known for Decatur Street (2011), About Today (2014) and Hello, Again (2015).
