Arvid Eriksson

I am a Swedish-Kiwi director who has made award-winning commercials and films in NZ, Sweden and the UK for the last twenty years. I make poetic dark comedies about underdogs and oddballs. My characters grapple with suppressed tension and the need to belong. My stories are about carving your own path without losing yourself. I want to make the world a better place by starting from within. I am an agile hands-on director with creative integrity and attention to detail. I'm a fast, creative, and well-organised collaborator. I'm excellent with talent, with a friendly and fun vibe that coaches talent to feel comfortable and relaxed on camera. I bring people together, solve problems, and produce dynamic films with craft and flair. My films have been funded and distributed by the British Film Council, The Swedish Film Institute and Canal Plus. My latest film, Acknowledgements, won the Grand Jury Prize at Film Invasion LA and is distributed by Amazon Prime. I also took home a Cannes Lions with my TVC for Yellow NZ.
