Mike Sgroi

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mike Sgroi caught the bug to work in the entertainment industry very early. While growing up along the Jersey Shore, he dedicate himself to breaking into comedy, film, and television. After graduating Monmouth University in 2007, Sgroi landed his first jobs as a production assistant for reality TV shows such as Masters of Reception, What Not To Wear, and 24 Hour Restaurant Battle. Since then he has moved on to become a co-owner of the award-winning production company Iron Horse Cinema (2015 Spirit Award Winner for Best Star Wars fan film) Sgroi has a background in stand up comedy and improv having performed in New York and New Jersey. Additionally, he has sharpened his editing skills as a freelance editor for Viacom and MLB.com. In his spare time, Sgroi has been hard at work training to write for late night television, publishing his own news parody website NotOffthePress.com, and independently writing and producing his own short films
