Chief Creative Officer, Natural History & Science Martha, a BAFTA and Emmy award-winning producer, runs the 150 strong Natural History department. She oversees all our wildlife and adventure productions from landmark blue chip series such as Tiny World (Apple TV+), Animal & Night on Earth (Netflix) and Hostile Planet (Nat Geo), to hosted series including On The Edge with Alex Honnold (Disney+) and John Bishop's Great Whale Rescue (ITV). Martha also heads up the environmental and conservation shows Plimsoll produces and is EP on Patagonia: Life On The Edge Of The World. Since joining Plimsoll from the BBC Natural History Unit where her credits include the acclaimed series Blue Planet and Life, Martha, who has a PhD in marine biology, has won a string of other commissions. These are as varied as the ocean-based, adventure series in Chasing Ocean Giants (Discovery+) to taking a celebrity to some of the most inhospitable places on the planet for Life at the Extreme with Davina McCall (ITV). She has also embraced the world of our favourite pets with Dogs: The Untold Story (DNI), and Puppy Secrets: The First Six Months (ITV). Martha is best known for her polar and marine experience, and her passion and innovation in all areas of wildlife filmmaking.
